History of Bear River Lacrosse

The Bear River Lacrosse Team began when Bradlee W. Skinner took a new teaching job at Bear River High School as the Theatre Arts Director.  One day while shopping for new tools for the set construction shop at Home Depot, he ran into so kids that were carrying lacrosse sticks.  He talked with them and found out they actually were part of a team and that they played in a league here in Utah.  Brad then began talking with the youth of the area to see how much of an interest there was for the sport.  More and more young players began to show interest and excitement for this relatively new sport.  (Relatively new to this area that is)

One his way to a state lacrosse meeting Coach Skinner stopped at the local McDonald's to get a bite to eat and the Manager of the store, Dave Chambers came to the window and expressed his desire to help in the building of the team.  Coach Chambers is now the Assistant Coach and Defensive Specialist for the Bear River Lacrosse Team.  His collegiate experience while on the Utah State Lacrosse Team has proven to be a valuable asset in shaping and training the athletes that make up this great team.
